NEW FRANCHISE GYM OWNERS TRAINING Learn From the Founders, Grow With the System
New Hot Ground Gym franchise owners will learn directly from the founders who built it from the ground up. Our structured, step-by-step training process combines classroom instruction, hands-on experience, and an incredibly supportive culture designed to set you up for long-term success—without overwhelming you with a “firehose” of information all at once.
Our comprehensive and confidential Operations Manual is broken down into manageable sections to make onboarding clear and actionable. The initial training consists of three to five 1-week sessions, blending both classroom learning and practical application.
Week 1 kicks off immediately, covering:
- Company history and core values
- Business fundamentals every owner needs to know
- Site selection and gym build-out
- Staffing strategies
- Marketing and advertising programs
- Grand opening planning
- An introduction to the HGG instructorship model
As your gym nears its grand opening (typically about a month out), we shift into what we call the “real training.” This phase focuses on turning new owners into confident Hot Ground Gym instructors. You’ll learn how to:
- Run daily operations
- Manage your time and team effectively
- Plan and execute sessions
- Maintain our unique environment
- Lead and teach kids the HGG way
This portion of training typically lasts 1 to 3 weeks, with a mix of classroom sessions and live, hands-on training during real Hot Ground Gym® classes.
The final week of training takes place during your gym’s grand opening. We’ll be on-site with you, side-by-side, to ensure everything reflects the true HGG experience in your local community. We call this our “left seat, right seat” approach—we guide, you take the wheel, and by the end of the week, you’re confidently in control. And of course, we’re always just a phone call away whenever you need support.

Before, during, and after Grand Opening
At Hot Ground Gym®, we believe that the success of our franchise owners starts with a strong foundation and continues with hands-on, ongoing support. From the moment you join the HGG Family, you’ll receive step-by-step guidance from the founders themselves—through structured classroom sessions, real-world training, and a comprehensive yet manageable operations manual. We support every phase leading up to your grand opening, including site selection, gym build-out (we’re hands-on and love getting involved), equipment procurement, vendor introductions, initial orders, marketing strategy, and hiring and training your team. Our initial training spans several weeks, blending business fundamentals with practical instruction, including how to run daily operations, plan and lead sessions, and create the unique HGG environment that blows parents’ minds, and keeps kids coming back.
Support continues well beyond your grand opening. During launch week, we provide hands-on coaching and real-time guidance to ensure every detail aligns with the Hot Ground Gym® standard and your gym thrives in its local community. After opening, we remain readily available by phone or email to answer questions, offer ongoing advice, and share proven strategies. With over a decade of experience building and operating successful gyms, we are dedicated to helping you grow quickly, lead confidently, and create a lasting impact.
